As you all know or may not know, I am the proud new
owner of a 2000 Pewter FRC. I call it silver but what the hell.
Well, here are the results for my 2000 FRC:
RUN 1: bone stock - 303 rwhp
RUN 2: w/ Halltech Stinger CAI - 316rwhp
RUN 3: w/ Halltech and DiabloSport programming - picked up 10rwtq - no HP.
final best - 316rwhp/325rwtq.
The Halltech intake system and the DiabloSport programmer was purchased from one of our sponsors - Platinum. I was AMAZED at just bolting on that simple plastic piece and filter gave me that much...kinda sweet.
Next is a wet 100 shot and then if no knock, a 150 shot. :hitit: :naughty:

Thats right boys and girls 13hp with a five minute install. We were at the dyno with Microzon and think there is more HP to be had but the car was very very lean even with a custom tune we will check out the fuel system and go over the tune again and set out for more power in the upcoming weeks.

They are top secret... :grin2: :secret:
Nah, it is a Comp XE-R grind with .595/.598 lift and 232/234 dur.@.050 on a 112. It should pick up some nice power. :afraid:

Not bad..... I just bought a 2000 FRC, artic white. Was stock,..now LS6 intake, VAraram, 6.0 liter MAF, plugs/wires/boots/ Lg motorsports long tubes, stock modified H-pipe, and a diablo tune. 355rwhp and 366 rwtq tuned on the dyno, at diablosport.

Great numbers for those moderate bolt-ons. I hope to see 360-370 with the LS6 intake and that big cam. :hail:

I too am planning on ordering my cam, soon. Been trying to order it for the past two weeks...but it's on back order dammit. I may have a possible turbo set up for some CRAZY price(like free) soo now I am waiting a couple more days before I order it.
You should be able to lay down some more power man, with the cam. You gotta get the LS6 intake bro, it's well worth it. I have one i'm getting rid of.....trying to do it locally, which I belive I know someone that will want it. Either way, whenever you can,...get one. Proven power.

What cam are you thinking of ordering? I have the Comp XE-R, which is similar in grind to the FM14. I would maybe give Comp a call and I'm sure they could get you a similar grind for your needs.
Yes, I have the LS6 intake sitting on my chair here with the cam...just waiting to find the time to install. :sad2:

It's actually a 595 lift...112 lobe seperation.. 232
Thunder racing is who we as a company deal with,....and I have been trying to get it but, I guess its on back order. I probably should call comp but, I'm getting it for a good deal...so I can wait a little bit.
Should be laying down about 420 to the wheels....after its all said and done. :grin2:

Yikes! 420 with minor bolt-ons and cam? Think we can work a barter for a tune in trade for some free advertising? ;)

I can always have your programmer reflashed...when you do more mods. Or he can copy my tune and input it into your programmer. Ofcourse you would have to have the same mods.

Ok....Saturday I dynoed my car,...after the cam install.
Before....355 rwhp and 366 rwtq
Now,...with the addition of the cam,.....springs and retainers
REMEMBER, STOCK H-pipe, and STOCK catback(stock LS1 heads)
396 rwhp....and 377 rwtq
My exhaust comes in the week.....hopefully the numbers will be at 410rwhp.
Anyways,..the car rocks on the highway,...as I WALKED a black Z06 from a third gear roll on the way back from the dyno on I-95

True....
after a day and a halfs work....I would hardly call it simple but, well worth it. Next time I do it,...it will be much quicker but, it's probably a six hour job the second time around.
Hopefully, I won't be doing that anytime soon, again.
I should be getting a set of LS6 heads super cheap really soon, so , those, my springs, and some shaft mount rockers,...I should be rockin'!!! :drive:

Hahaha...well, simple is a relative term...as compared to an engine rebuild. :jest:
Yes, I'm looking at a set of cheap LS1 heads to possibly hog out for when I add my cam. I'd like another 20-25rwhp with a set of ported heads. :drive:

Yep, got the LS6 intake already but I usually have some people asking where they can get one.
What do you want for your LS1 heads ?

$350 plus shipping,....and they're yours I guess. I had no real reason or want to get rid of them but, my broke ass could use a few extra bucks.
Let me know what you wanna do man. I have them here.

I apologize for not getting back with you. Once I find someone that can port them, I'll let you know ASAP. I'm looking to throw a set of ported heads on my vette. :grin2:

Still no word on the porting. I am still working on getting in contact with a
company out of the midwest. It's tough when people don't stay in contact with
you. :banghead:
Have you taken your car to the track yet? Any new results?

Hey man, no problem. Look in the BARGAIN TRADER, or something like that. Someone has to have a good reputation,...I would think in your area. Just so you know, I now have ANOTHER set of heads, makeing it now 3 pairs. So, if you know anyone else, let me know, i'm gonna post them on some sights.
I did go to the track, once. Not pleased. I couldnt wait for tires, so I went with my bald runflats....went 2.4 60 ft times, and went 12.90's @ 116 mph...spinning all the way through third gear, shifting into 4th right at the traps. Shitty night. and I haven't been back since. We had a hurricane...which screwed up everything. Plus, I had some problems with the law lately. Car problems.
Anyways, I'm gonna try and go back soon,..just havent had the chance.
