So I think I'm gonna take the plunge and get Lane's true duals before I get my cam. That way I can get used to them before the cam, then install the cam. Tune the cam nicely, drive it around for a month or two and see how I like it, and if its too much I'll have Lane extend the exhaust out the back of the car, with cutouts where the duals originally dumped right after the mufflers so I can still enjoy the performance/noise when I'm racin or at the track, or when I feel like being a general nuisance around town. I'll be using GMMG oval tips if I run the exhaust out the rear.
So.....any thoughts? Oh yea.....I'll be using sweet thunder mufflers on this system, and Lane's shop is about 15 mins from my house so its no biggie.

you haven't heard his setup, or haven't heard of him? he's right there in North Richland Hills, makes the nicest true duals for f-bodies i've seen. www.lanesperformance.com

nah, between no job and twins i'm tryin to save my money as much as possible while still modding the car. i'm going to put a cam in soon, prolly an FM14 now instead of the FM9, which will idle even a little rouger oddly enough(overlap of 9*). But, since a cam swap costs about a grand, that means I can't get an exhaust which would cost the same. So the exhaust will wait a while. I may just get dumps for a little bit, we'll see.
but...the job search continues. tough to find something that is a skilled job that works around my school schedule.

i love TDs, and have heard that Lanes makes a nice setup. if my car wasn't a DD, it would have duals, but thats too much noise for everyday for me. the FM14 is a nice cam, nice power
