i street race mostly, i mean autocross on legal courses :secret: but i don't even do that much b/c my rear end is a major piece of shit. tho i just bought a moser 9" w/a full spool, 35spline gundrilled axles, so i doubt i'll ever have an issue with my rear end again. now i'll be able to start goin to the track and gettin some times w/o worryin about breaking my DD....lol.

Never been to the track, I'll race people on the highway or red light to redlight whenever I can get a race.

I mainly street race only because there is no track anywhere near here, otherwise I would go. We usually try to keep it generally safe by using highways that are pretty clear. We also usually race from a roll because it tends to be much easier on parts. :drive:

It doesn't seem like you could keep it fair when racing from a roll. Someone is always going to jump the start.

I have been bracket racing for around 6 years. I love to race!! (as long as I can afford to keep doing it).

I do agree with that. Racing from a roll is really hard to keep it even, but we are just doing it for fun, so it really doesn't matter all that much. If money was involved, the only way to do it would be a light to a 1/4th.

Track and Street we do the role thing, usually leave on the 3rd honk just for fun. When it is serious we always go from the dig and have our sticky tires on. We have a couple of nice places in the middle of nowhere. We get someone out there starting. We try to keep it small set up ten or so races and then spit till next weekend. I usually hit the track 3 or 4 times a month.

When we street raced, we started from a stop and had someone flash thier lights or flag us to start us. My street car was only mid 12's at the time. It was fun though!

Ya, I wish I had the TIME and MONEY to get back up to the track. I think consolidating
my cars will help some. That way I don't have to split my money between 4 stinking cars ! :banghead:

Yes, it's a tough decision but I think selling a few cars will make it easier for me. I wish I could get rid of the truck. We just had 8 inches of snow here yesterday. Winter is not over yet. :jest:

You are probably right. The Monte is hopefully going. The primer big block car is going. I think the Rosewood T will get the GN motor sold and the 6.0l will go in. The WE4 I might keep or sell and invest the money. Who knows? :dunno:

SilverGhost

My local track in Cicero, NY is 1/4 mile...but I may go to Binghamton and race 1/8 mile this year...not sure. They have higher pay outs. Weighing my options right now. I'm ready to start racing now though...wish the snow would just stop!!
