Like the title says, what cams do you think will benefit from the extra 20 or so cubes. Do you think they will have to adjust the profiles and such for them, or just start using some stroker cams?

C'mon....nobody has anything to say about this? Someone must have an opinion!!

i really don't know as much about cam's as i wish i do but i think there are already some well established 427 cams out there. the 427 ci motor has been around for a while so i would think people have it figured out.

I think any of the proven cams in ls1's will run well 20 cubic inches is not a lot

you're talkin about the LS7. i'm talkin about the LS2 ;)

ooo, ops. i dun good read dat der.

i figure a more aggressive ls1 cam should do an ls2 fine, but ill leave that to the people who know how to make cams. i really have no idea how cam's differ due to displacement.

For the bigger cube motors, most of the time, you want to add a little more duration. As previously stated, most LS1 cams will work fine with the LS2. There are some BIG, freaky cams out there for the LS1...but who wants to spend $400 on a cam....not me!

I will probably use the Z06 cam in my FRC. :grin2:

which Z06 cam are you talkin about? new one?

aftermarket is where its at. gm can't play rough b/c of emissions...so phooey to their cams.

no he's sticking a C5 z06 cam in his, i doubt a ls7 z06 cam would work in an ls1/6 engine. i still think john needs to get an MTI stealth cam :)

Yes, I'm thinking about the Stealth cam too...but just can't see spending another $100-200 on a stupid cam with only a very small...if any change in HP numbers.

there are changes, its all top end though...thus the stealth part. I thought u wanted to make this a semi-sleeper? screw it lets start a new thread about it.
