Not sure on the Fwd I certaintly hope not but I wouldn't put it past GM. I would think the SS 5.3 would be rear.

They are starting to get it right by going to a v8 now they just need to put the power to the right set of wheels!

GMHTP says this will be the LS4 ? Another name designation for the already same 5.3 liter motor? I imagine due to it having D.o.D. that they will change the designation. Similar in context to the LS1/LS6. Any thoughts?

The regular 5.3 is the LM7 with DOD I guess is the ls4 they have another one like L33 maybe that is the High Output 5.3.

it's the LS3, not the LS4. it's mounted funny.. it's supposed to run mid 14's. not bad for a FWD car i guess

you know GM cries the poor man blues about their finances right now and then they release the virtually identical monte and impala. pick one, do it right, save money. I dont get it. ????

in time...but soon they are gonna run out of single diget numbers, and ls10 jsut doesnt have a good ring to it. wonder what the next designation will be...lt...ls...lq...there is no pattern! damn gm...

I think the "LS" designation is cool. They've stuck with SS and Z28 for some time. :chug:
