lol i wish it was an iroc.. But its a 91 rs.. I've got 1500 saved for the ls1 swap.. I wish i could do the ls7 but it will be a while before i would even be able to get ahold of one much less afford one.. thanks for the compliments

In a couple weeks i plan to put the 99 ta dash in.. slowly but surely getting better

keep us updated. i dont blame ya about swapping an ls1 in instead of an ls7. its probably gonna be a very long time before we can get one as a crate engine. but man that would be mean...what kinda engine is in there...oh thats ah um...ls2...hey um...lets race for money okay? :)

yeah that would be damn sweet if i dropped in an ls7... But the car has a v6 in it for now.. I knew i would be doing a swap so their was no point in spending more money for a 305 then yanking it.. I bought this one for 1500.. not to bad..

You can buy a decent 6.0l LQ4 motor for $1500. I bought my LQ4 for $1200 and it has 50k on it...not bad. It also had all the accessories, starter and injectors.

Whats some specs on the 6.0? what car/truck does it come in?

mySStery_machine

they came in the 2500 series trucks but were optional in the 1500HD series trucks....both GMC and Chevy. they are the LQ4 motor and have less compression than the LQ9 of the Cadillac Escalade. there is only a difference of about 35 crank horsepower between the motors.

hey, that's a neat sig pic. did you do that one yourself?

Euclid

hmm i might have to look into that motor.. Low compression= boost...

Yeah i did the sig myself.. Was bored one night and decided to give it a go.. Came out pretty good.. I'll probably end up making another one

ya, like i said, it was cheap. the LQ4 motors are strong and their compression is a litter lower so you can throw a few more pounds of boost at it.

the sig pic is cool, we just may make a mod out of you yet...hahaha.

hahaa...ya, i was post whoring. nah, i was bored today actually. it snowed really hard here today, so we got about 6 inches. i had to go out after and act like the human plow to clear my driveway. :(

haha snow plowing is always fun.. even though i've never had to go through that.. most we ever got was i think like an inch but it mainly melted within hours

Ya, the snow is fun. Yesterday after I got done shoveling, I took my son out in the sled and pulled him around for about 30 minutes. That was my cardiovascular workout for the day. I even built little jumps so as I was running I could pull him over the jumps. He was laughing hysterically.

haha that sounds like fun.. Couple years back when it iced over on thanksgiving we did something similar to that.. Except we tied the sled to the back of our car with 30 feet of rope... It was damn fun till my dad wrapped me around a pole
