My buddy just got a new gear and something or other in 88 5.0 GT. The thing is completely worked over, h/c/i, exhaust, suspension, like 10 grand into it. well we went a couple times from rolls.
1- Both of us in 4th gear at about 55, he got the hit but i pulled ahead quick and had 2-3 cars by 120.
2- 3rd gear, he jumped out by about a car but i reeled him in.
3- read the aboves
i would just always catch him and pull him in, usually before i hit 4th. At the track he got one tenth better than me with a 60 foot 3 tenths faster (1.9 vs 2.2). My trap speed is also 5-6 mph higher.
