Well, if you want stainless steel then Magnaflow or the SLP LM (each can be had for $350ish) or if you just want aluminized steel I believe the Random Tech comes in at about $320.

the cheapest true catback is the hooker as far as i know around $325
there is also a frankenstein exhaust you can get through advanced auto, walker (dynomax) mandrel bent 2.5 pipes and then get a set of summit turbo mufflers ($15 a piece) to complete it, around $225 total...its a good poormans exhaust
this is for b-body's

Not necessarily when it comes to catbacks. Magnaflow is a very popular stainless steel catback and will run you only around $350.

Dynomax has some cheap ones, but they are mostly 2.5" setups. Cheapest to the door 3" I have found is a Hooker Aerochamber and IIRC I got mine for $220 shipped to my door a few years ago.

Agreed... I've never been a fan of it. On totally bone stock cars it sounds alright, but who wants a catback that they have to replace once they do longtubes? :dontknow:
