There's equal proof for each. So what do you think? I want it to be a 7.0L, as I think everyone probably "wants".

A 7.0 liter would be nice.

Since chevrolet has been so productive with a V8, when are they going to experiment with a V10? or higher?

Dodge took a big step forward and spent a TON of money to develop the V-10 program. It was bold step for them to show customers they are aggressive and want their business. Develop something new and exciting and watch people follow - damn, sounds familiar to the new Z06.
Ford also took a big step forward with their V-10, however, I don't think it's selling too good. People either opt for the 5.4 V-8, due to cost, or go one step higher and get the diesel.
Cost is the #1 reason.

GM has to make this car with a 427 just because of the history of the car and that motor.
If GM made a V10 it would destroy the interchangability that everyone loves about the LS derivatives.

I think GM should've built a V10 rather than the 8.1. I guess it would've taken a lot of money to start a new program like that. The ls7 makes damn near v10 viper power.

screw it, i say gm skips the v10 and starts with a v12. something nice and big we can shove up the GT's ass. look once again the general has an n/a motor that decimates all...so take the 427 v8 ls7...and stick 4 more cylinders on it...that would be a 640.5 CI motor...

600ci from the factory would get people in trouble, LOL. talk about a gas guzzler tax! it'd really bust the GT's balls tho, especially with a tame s/c.

Shoot the LS7 with a supercharger would walk the dog on a GT. A N/A v12 would pull it big time. Or maybe the Cadillac 16.

Don't disagree with ya. Just think of another large jump, like the one from 346 to 427, go from 427 to ~600.
I'd love to pick up a LS7 motor when they come out. That'd be an instant 575hp motor w/a cam swap, and wait until the head porters play with the LS7 head castings a little bit......sheeeeeit. Its over for EVERYONE then, forget the GT40. Don't even start w/the S/C route...that'd just be SICK.

I am saying right now, the LS7 motor will be even more nasty once the aftermarket gets going. I think it will easily be over 600 crank hp with bolt on parts. 8)
