I have a '94 Formula with a stock LT1 & A4. I have a P1SC ProCharger on order and went with 8lbs of boost and the twin high flow intercooler upgrade. I am trying to decide on headers and am looking for your thoughts. How much more power can be expected? What are your thoughts on the various brands out there? I have been thinking about Kook's 1 3/4" stepped to 1 7/8". Expensive but I hear good things about them. Do you think stepped primaries of this size is a good match for this application?
The car has considerable suspension work and rides about 1.25" lower as a result. I hear long tubes make power but sacrifice ground clearance. This would be a concern if it is true. Exhaust is a Borla cat back. Looking for good streetable mid range torque and would sacrifice some high rpm horsepower in return. I do not plan on racing the car.
Who has personal experience they can share with me?

how low exactly are you riding? like tires stock and everything? low pros? no doubt about it, kooks LTs are the nicest you can get and wellll worth the price. do you have subframe connectors on the car? they shouldnt hang ANY lower than your intercoolers so i would say theyre not a problem . also id go with the 1 3/4s for your app. you seem to be making good power, but with forced induction applications some backpressure is ideal. ever think about a cutout as well? like a 3"

thats a purty sweet lookin el-e-phant you got there mister
It all depends on what engine mods if any you have done or are going to do. If your going to leave the motor stock and you have a stock motor just go with some Mid-lenght headers. If your gonna put fully ported heads, giant lift cam, ported intake, 58 mm TB then i'd say sure go with the 1 3/4 - 1 7/8's stepped. If your going to do some mods but not mods to the extreme just go for some 1 3/4 LT's.

he should be straight with the blower and the LTs. mid lengths are decent but nothing like LTs. shortys are just a waste of money and create wayyyy too much heat.

For the gain you're going to see, save your money and put it towards a forged short block. Then you can up the boost and see a big difference.
That and your biggest prob is going to be the factory heads.. maaaan do they suck :box:

thats what i told someone else! and they were like naaaaa. damnit i knew i should have listened to myself! and yea he could put it towards forged rotatin kit, butttt hes going to need headers eventually, and the ones hes got in mind will last forever no matter what mods hes got done. pretty much.

In my FI LT1 days, I used hooker LTs. Great results and the clearance was decent.
