I just purchased 2 MTX 12" subs. The are 100-200 Rms 400 max a piece. I was wondering what is the best amplifier route to go? Should I buy a 2 channel amp or a mono amp and bridge it? Also what kind of power level am I going to need? This is the first time doing this so all help would be appreciated.

you can do either. i would go with a monoblock for subs if i was buying the amp new. You can pose a 2ohm load to the amp for higher output and it will be much cleaner. you need somewhere in the 300-450 watts rmsx1 or 100x2-200x2. I have a pioneer amp that powered my 450watt rms subs thats almost new. Sell it for 75+shipping. 125X2rms 250X2 max or 380X1 rms at 4 ohms (couldnt run 2 subs at 4 ohms...2 subs at 4 ohms bridge =2 ohm.) or 860watts max at 4 ohms(which also applies to bridged one sub) PM me if your interested or want more info on how to hok your stuff up. i am good with electronics.
