hey guys i was in the 99 Anniversary T/A today and noticed when it was still cold in the car the digits on the radio were all jacked up but after the car warmed up everything seemed fine .. anyone else experience this during this cold time of year or is my Monsoon headed south

it should be fine. almost all radios i see do that when they are cold. the liquid in the lcd doesnt move as fast as it should

LCD's in the HU, and speakers are the first items to go!
Now I can sell you an award-winning setup? Custom enclosures and the whole works!:D :thumbsup:

IMO, just keep an eye on it for consistency. IF it persists, you can replace diodes, but a major PITA, unless you know what you're doing. Probably better off replacing the HU. I've seen them anywhere from $50 - $100 on various boards.

hell i wont be able to find a head unit in any better shape than what i keep my cars .. i might as well upgrade now and save a headache .. any 1 1/2 din radios out there that are worth anything ?

Truthfully, ride it out, and if it gets progressively worse, then consider a swap out. It won't affect the units' performance, other than being a visual nuisance.
