I have found an intercooler with the following dimensions...
Dimensions - 23" wide (31" with endtanks), 11.75" tall, 3" thick

Have any of you installed an intercooler of this size in a LT1 equipped '93 thru '97 Z28 without hacking up (or minimal hacking up) of the nose area of the car?
THanks!

Well... Have put a 31x12x4 "universal" intercooler in an LS1 TA before. No cutting was necessary, just much shoving and cursing. It said it was universal and should work on an LT1 also, but I don't know how reliable that is. The fact that yours is a tid bit smaller might be good news. Good luck.

LT1 bumper is a different design though, not sure of the area is smaller or not.

Thats why I said I wasn't sure of the reliability of the statement.

Heard from a fellow LT1 Fbud that has this same IC on his car and he was kind enough to send pictures...

It can be done. I'm running the same OBX IC 31X12X4. You will have to do some hacking but that's only if you are trying to really go a custom route. Now if you decide to buy a kit Bob from EPP can sell you one for about 800 bucks and comes w/ the mounting brackets and all. You will have to modify the IC piping as the pipe are intended for LS1's but it's minimal at best in the reconfiguring. This is the route I went and well worth it. The middle bumper support piece will have to go depending how far you mount the IC forward closer to the opening where the fog lights use to sit. Mount it further back you can keep it. You'll also have to shorten the IC bracket supplied by 6" as our bumper design is different and won't allow you to put it back on. The beam will have to be cut as well due to the IC but you'll still have structual integrity from the IC bracket that took it's place.

haven't put the bracket on as I just recently discovered that I could use it and move my IC 2.5" forward so that's in the works this wkend. This will also rise the IC up 1.5" upward so it doesn't block the airdam. The bracket will be welded at the end of the IC on the where it meets the bumper support.

Thanks for the pictures:) My hotparts kit is ready, just awaiting shipping. I'll be assembling all this stuff by months end. I love the way you cut out that nose insert area and so you could maximize air to the intercooler. Great attention to detail.

If you guys need the Intercooler inlet/outlet rearranged to better configure (less hacking), give me a shout and we'll make it so it fits much better with little cost involved.

Can you give me an idea of what you mean? Or would that be giving too much info away? Maybe a PM? Thanks!
