Im getting ready to purchase new axles and gears for my 95 Firehawk, but how do i tell if i have a 7.5 or a 7.625 rear? and what is the spline count also. I have the six speed tranny. Anything else i wound need to know like certain brands to use or to stay away from before i order them would be helpful too. What about brakes? What's better slotted or drilled? Thanks for the help guys.

Do you have traction control?

Drilled breaks just weaken the rotor and decrease from your break pad contact patch. Slotted serves some purpose, but on the rear it isn't necessary. I went with xdrilled rotors all the way around because I found a good deal on them, they look great..but they don't stop the car any better than blanks.
