Not sure how much the tranny holds, but put 1 quart into the stall prior to installing it. After you get it running, it will need another 1-2 quarts extra.

For some reason i seem to want to say the tranny/converter holds 7 quarts total.

it turned out to be 9 quarts with the convertor. the lady at the autozone told us 6... i have the feeling she was sent there to sabatoge my transmission. i was driving my baby allll day it is sooo nice to have her back. the stall is a little crazy but its nice to drive! thanks guys

Someone screwed my front bumper a few months back, I even have a credit somewhere to have it repainted for free...but I can't be without my car for any amount of time, and he wants it for two days.

Days ?? hell no .. ive heard leave it with me stories the build up to "and when i got my car back it had 300 miles on it and my buddies saw it driving around!" .. no keys .. stay with the vehicle .. at all costs

Last time I left it I logged the miles, and set the rev limiter at 2k.

A month later when I got it back I pleased to see it had only 1/4th a mile on it...most likely from going in and out of the paint booth.

how difficult was it to drop the tranny without taking it out of the car? i have my new LT1 connected to an A4 sitting hte garage and i still havnt been able to disconnect it. my buddy said that you have to turn the flywheel, take out a bolt, turn it again, take out a bolt, with a total of 6 bolts. this must have been a nightmare to do with the tranny in the car still no?

naa it really wasnt that hard. it took us a total of like 6 hours to drop the old one and put in the new one. you need to disconnect the driveshaft and everything, then the mounts and whatnot. but theres only 3 screws on the flywheel and 4 on the case. its not too bad at all! that was with 3 guys working on it. smaller hands help too because you have to sit on your motor and reach behind it to get some of the screws out.

i got the 4 on the case off but how do you get the 3 off the flywheel?

we pulled the trans back a little and openned the hood and pulled the trans back a little and then reached behind the motor from under the hood to get it all done.
