I was woundering if you can keep the abs with either of the two set ups. With the 9" set up how much is cut off the housing and where to get the info on the brackets for the brakes and everything else you need to do this for your self thanks

i think you can keep abs with both. you just have to keep the reluctance ring. i think thats right.

As far as the brackets go,,,,they were available through GM but I don't know if they still offer them or not,,,,been a while since I tried.
I know moser is making their own brackets for their rearend housings,,,and I really don't like the looks of them.
Strange on the other hand is using GM brackets on theirs,,,or I should say that is what was on the last 12 bolt from strange that came in about 2 months ago. I have to say the GM brackets look much nicer on the finished product,,,but thats just me,,,I am picky.
All the brake hardware, backing plates, brake lines, calipers etc...I purchase straight from GM.
For what it's worth,,,both Moser, Strange, Currie,,,all offer a bare housing with brackets welded on,,,,correct width,,,and any housing ends you want welded on,,,ready to go. This is the way I prefer them,,,so I can assemble them myself...this might save you some trouble.. Hope that helps,,,Larry.

Well, depends if you have 3c or 4c ABS. officially the 9" does not support 3c ABS..although some have gotten it to work. I know for sure the Strange 12 bolt offers 3c and 4c support...and I'm pretty sure the Moser does as well.
