please i have proplem on my caprice ss 1996
i love caprice cars very much

now i have proplem on the car i lost the power of the car i feel like i deive an caprice classic 1989 please help me any one
the acceleration of the car doesnt make me happy
i change every thing like spark plug and plugs and oil and gear filters and everything
what can i do to make the car return to her power
i know that caprice ss 1996 have 260 hp but i doesnt feel that why please any one help me
the engine very good and gear very good and every sensor in the car are working good and i check it on the computer and there is no proplem but sometimes i noticed that the rpm meters goes up and down while the cars in park and nuetrols

please help me anyone

you need to be more specific if you can. When did you start to notice it was down on power? What were you working on when you noticed? Is it making any noises?

A loss that bad .. take a look at your cats .. beat em around listen to see if you hear anything rattling

Test the fuel pressure. My car is bogging to hell, and I have replaced everything(even the Opti) expcept the Fuel pump. It's the only thing I can think of. I had an 89 Caddy(caprices sister) and my Buick has about the same power.

does your car even have catalitic convertors? i thought all cars in the Middle east had "export" pipes in place of the cats?

Also, take Throttle Body Cleaner(in a spray can) and soak the throttle body bores with it, and scrub them with a tooth brush.

Also, use Electrical parts cleaner(in a spray can) and spray the MAF(3" circle sensor on the intake tract) and clean the tiny "pills" or "resistors" with a Q-tip.

i think i just hear a noisy sound from the side of fuel tank
maybe its the fuel pump
but everything u said to me ido it and everything is ok

but please does the fuel pump make this effect and make the car lost the power

and about the miles that my car have maybe about 153000 mile
but everything is working good
all the electrical very good
and the fuel i put on it unleeded fuel only

do you have a fuel pressure tester?

spray, or soak the red circles of this part. Carb cleaner leaves a dry film behind that is bad for Fuel Injected cars. Make sure it says Throttle Body cleaner. Then take a small brush for your mouth or your teeth/tooth. or a small rag, towel, bit of cloth, and clean it out, scrub it, wipre it out.

I do not mean to insult your understanding. I do not mean to make you sound dumb. I just want to make sure you know what i mean.

Also clean the area around the Red cirles. You can spray the stuff on it when the car is running, or turn it off and clean it with the Throttle wide open. Best way to open the throttle is lay a brick on the gas pedal with the car OFF, Not running.

in the past when i was kick the accleator padel for the top the car be too slow for gove me the full post
but now it very fast than the past

but final qusetion is what is the noisy sound i hear from the back of my car on the fuel tank
its very noisy really
does it effect on anything in the future and must i replace it ????

That noise is the Fuel Pump. On 2 of my cars, it has been VERY loud. On 1, it was silent. Turns out that one was bad. It wasn't putting enough fuel(gas) to the engine. That Noise is normal. BUT, don't be surprised if you need to replace the fuel pump soon. The one in my 1994 Caddy (same Engine/motor) was VERY loud. I put it in the Buick, and it's very loud again. but it works GREAT.

Not a problem. The english is not the best. But I will NOT let that get in the way. No problem. Glad you understood it all. :)
