Do I have to get my pcm tuned for a stall?

I have been working on my car a little at a time, and I need to get the pcm tuned. At the same time I need to install a stall converter, but don't have the money right now for it. Would I have to get it tuned again if I install a stall converter?? If I didn't what would it affect?

No, but it would be helpful. Your shifts will usually feel more mushy after a higher stall converter.
