Does anyone know what a jump from 265hp and 250ft-lb of torque to 640hp and 745 ft-lb of torque will be like? Or a comparison of the two as far as wheel spin and launch g's? I just want to get an idea before I get my new engine.

You should hardly notice it ;)

In my Caprice 9C1, the engine is messed up even though it only has 41k on it so I'm going to get a local shop put a zz572 Big Block in it, and maybe later a 6-speed. Just wondering if I would like the power or if I could just stroke the 350 and have a rebuild.

is this a daily driver? if so, just find a good shape lt1 and put it back in, then put some AI heads on it with bolt ons and go low 12's all day.

what engine did it have that had only 250lbs of torque? shouldn't it be more like 335? The 572 BB will be a RIOT to drive. and dangerous riot, but fun. But a 350, or 383 rebuild, with a killer heads and cam package will be much better on gas and still haul ass. The cost will likey be about the same, depending on what parts you go with. take a look at this. http://dan.esteban.com/impalass/ReturnTopET.asp?Sort=Class&SelectedClass=6 some 383's are hauling ass, and theres a heads and cam car going high 11's, on a stock short block. and he drives it daily, and even tows a boat with it. the car is not anything special, or exotic. just a well speced cam and killer heads. :)
