Who builds and sells the best rear-end kit out there?
I am looking at Strange Dana 60 kit and driveshaft.(3k)
I have read several post on the problems guys run into with this unit.
I do not want to build it myself and want to just bolt it in with very little mods. I want 373 gears and would like the unit to not make a bunch of whining nosies or clunking when I turn.
Most of all I want it to be bullet proof. I have also looked at Mosur a little.
Thanks
Joey

Well i think i would wait and see what Strange does for Grims .. because if they dont "fix the problem" i would go with Moser

Man a sore subject with me. I wouldn't bother with Moser, had a couple of bad experiences with them.
One that pertains to your dilema was my buddies 98 WS6. He bought a Moser 12 bolt and it howled like a school bus. After 3 sets of gears there was no change. We could never get a good pattern out of it, even with pinion depth and back lash set correctly. It came down to putting the brand new housing on a jig, and finding it out of square slightly, I guess it was enough to give us fits though. Moser was absolutely no help at all, just like before when I had other issues, thats another story though. After investigating we found that Moser is casting there own 12 bolt housings and the other companies like strange and currie use a different supplier.
Needless to say he sold that rearend for a song, and purchased a Strange 12 bolt,,,,,still gearing up to get this in the car so can't report on the noise issue, but so far everything looks very nice.
Maybe if you go 9 inch there won't be as much of an issue, goodluck, Larry.
