I have a 95 Trans Am that i just built. It doesn't get any kind of traction what so ever. I do have an adjustable torque arm and Lakewood Traction bars but I will need slicks. I also know that my 4L60E will not take that kind of abuse. So what i'm needing is some info on where to get a built TH350, and what all else i need to do the connversion. Like electronics and other stuff like that so i can start saving up the money.

I just did the same thing, only I had a t56. the only thing I needed was a new shifter, tranny cooler and lines, and had to get a new drive shaft. I also had the computer tuned for the th350. so there was no codes thrown. I also had to modify my crossmember, and get a new flywheel and convertor. Im pretty sure that is it. I hope it helps

I do this alot, it's fun!!
TH350 with 9" tailshaft allows you to keep the stock DS.
And here is where you start into options. Stock style Torq Arm (on the trans) you can get the B&M Change over kit and it will have the parts needed to put the TA on the side of the trans and it will have the parts needed for the A4 crossmember. OR you can either get an A4 crossmember and have a tab welded to it for the transmission mount, it is slightly in a different position.

If you have a non trans mounted TA then just have the crossmember stuff added. (I will try and post a pic).

now speedo working, that is a different deal. If it is an OBDII originally you can run the speedo off the ABS sensors in the front wheel OR you can get the Dakota Digital parts ($100ish) to make it work, SEN 01 and SGI5A I think are the part numbers. some say they have done it with just the SEN part number and it might work, just have not played with it, but this is not an exact set up, then you need to have the ability to change the tune for different rear ratios to get it dialed in perfectly.

Then you need a shifter, TC, cooler is recommended. if it is an A4 to begin with then you dont need the lines and possibly not the cooler. but a shifter is a must and a TC.

Jeff went above and beyond with that install. He picked that shifter b/c it didnt have the extra handle to grab like my favorite Pro-Stock does.

I have pix of the plate made with the shifter mounted to it for those M6 to A3 doers, the A4 to A3 does not need all the "fab" work.

Ok a couple of more questions. (1)Will I need a new flexplate? (2)and also since i already have an aftermarket adjustable torque arm, does BMR make a cross member that i can use the torque arm i already have. I'm sure somebody has already answered that but my brain just isn't picking it up.

If you are an A4 then the stock flexplate can work or there is an SFI one for $100 from TCI.

If you currently have a transmounted TA and want to get it off the trans, there are a few relocation brackets made to do this.
