Man, I've been toying with the idea of replacing the stock LCA (lower control arms) with adjustable aftermarket pieces. Since I intend on EVENTUALLY replacing the rearend, I need something flexible (hence "adjustable").
So what brands, and or types would you guys recommend?
Just not certain that with all the other suspension mods I have, that I will benefit from these. This is what has been upgraded in the rear:
Reinforced Panhard
Reinforced RCA's
Adjustable Torque Arm
Stock sways, stock LCA's. Oh yeah, and COST!

Yup, I saw the post regarding Shon Herron, but again.......cost/benefit?
What is gained or to be gained by installing a set of aftermarked LCA's to compliment what I already have. Is it a waste of money at this point?
I had been considering the BMR's or UMI adjustable's

You've still got stock LCA's?!?
If you're replacing the rear some non-adj. would work fine, most rears need LCA relocation brackets to get the geometry right but the length on LCA is usually good. I'd only recommend adj. if you're planning on stepping up to a larger tire at any point.
Aftermarket LCA's will make a HUGE difference in the way your car reacts off the line... As a bracket racer I'd definately recommend them, either stock-length or adjustable :)

I installed BMR LCA's on the rear by themselves ( I did no other mods at the same time). I could not believe the difference they made, both off the line AND in handling. At the time I had subframes and a stock PHB and torque arm. You probably don't need adjustables, but if I did it over, I would get rod ends instead of urethane. But it's not my driver.

you're stepping up to a 28"?
285/35's rear (either BFG KD or Nitto 555rII)
275/40's front (either BFG KDW or Nitto 555r)
Sounds like a worthy investment. I'll investigate.
Thanks

Ah, still a 26" tire. You don't need adjustables :)

I was about to buy some UMIs but, I noticed other companies make boxed LCAs for less money (like lakewood) wouldn't boxed LCAs be stronger?

Buy from a sponsor that supports this site! :D
We are actually running a sale right now that brings our control arms to $89.99 a set, should be very close to the price of the Lakewoods. The tubulars will be just a strong as the boxed if not stronger and they are also available in a color choice of Red or Black.
If you need any help please feel free to contact me. Thanks!

I love your products and own your SFCs, DSL, and TA. Just wanted to make sure the tubular design was as strong as the boxed :D

Well, I've narrowed it down to these (3) in order:
UMI #2016 Tubular adjustable LCA's $170
G2 NON-adjustable LCA $175
BMR #27MCA002 Street/Track LCA's $190
I do like the UMI products, and think the G2's are a bit overpriced
