Ok its not the DS what now? converter?

Well I just put an aluminum DS in and it made little if no difference. What are signs the converter is going out? What I have is a low pitch resonating uneven vibration that starts about 45mph and gets louder as you get faster. It hurts bad enough that I just wasted $150 on the aluminum shaft and didn't fix it, much less spending however much a converter cost and not knowing if that is what it is! What do ya'll think?

Does the vibration feel like it is coming from the back? Could be bad tires, need balancing, the rear differential low on fluid or worn out, u-joint worn out, etc.

It has new tires all the way around. Just got it aligned. U-joints looked and felt fine when installing the aluminum shaft. I just serviced the rear diff. Its hard to say where the vibe is coming from but it feels like the whole car. What are the signs of a bad converter?

did it ever hop backwards on you? you can bend an axle easy like that. also when did you start to notice it? what conditions?
