i have a dilemma,i h ave 93 z28 a4 with 125000 and it's not giving me prob in a world.i changed the rocker arms, added a new y-pipe,power chip, throttle body ported and throttls bottle bypassair, foil,CAI,underdrive pulley and exhaust. i was told besides adding headers this basically all i can do to this motor because it was the only year chevy made this particular lt-1 motor.i want to convert from a a4 to m6 and while i was shopping around i found a 96 lt1 w/m6 for $2400 with only 87k.the guy that is selling it told me that i shouldn't buy the complete package because it would be a waist of money when i can just buy everything for the conversion.i have two questions... which would be better buying a lower mile complete lt1 m6 pullout or just buying everything for conversion? Does anyone know of any other mods i can do to my engine because i'm hearing different things and i'm new to this?........your fellow muscle car brother

you can do everything that i can do to my 96 except change the maf. (because you dont have one) scrub up the bottom for cheap, cam it, heads, and get a custom tuned chip. if you got some cash stroke it cam it heads so on. i do have to say besides exhaust you kinda are about done with mods unless you are ready to crack open that topend. oh ya here is the link for the convertion im pretty sure it talks about price in there to.

Bro, don't worry about your converter if you're going to convert to an M6. Which is a very wise idea. I hate my a4. Its up to you if you want to build a stroker. If this is your daily driver, build it well. From my research I've noticed you can pretty much do a 355 or a 383 for the same amount of cash. But per what was said above I'd just refresh the bottom end you could just clean it out and make it a 355 for pretty cheap. heads and cam that bitch and have a nice reliable daily driver.

get the complete, then there wont be any down time while you're building the other motor, and when you're done and swap it you can sell your current motor and make some money back.

i actually was going to use the current motor and tranny for a payment to my mechanic for doing the swap for me,but that is always an option to sell the current motor an tranny
