View Full Version : 315's on a stock height camaro?!?!

will 315's fit on a camaro with stock springs and shocks? i was looking at buying some 17" X 11" gunmetal zr1 wheels and they come with sumitomo's but the rear ones are 315s! i thought NO WAY are those gonna fit, but i called the tech guy and he said they wouldnt look like theyll fit when youre putting them on, but theyll tuck right up underneath. im thinking theres going to be MAJOR rubbing issue. anyone have any helpful insight?

They fit at the stock height, but you have to be sure the backspacing is right. Its an issue of the tires rubbing the inner fender well.

as Chris said they do fit if you get the backspacing right, and leave the stock height.

You may need a spacer to get them on there. Some cars do, some don't. I'm lowered almost 2" and I needed a 7/16" spacer and an adjustable PHB to get 17x11's (with Hoosier race compound tires which tend to be on the wide side) under my car. Mine were hitting the stock LCA's, and an adjustable PHB allowed me to fix that. If you're running tubular LCA's, you'll probably have more room than I did (depending on who's you run).

Will 285's or 295's fit the rear with no mods ?? Wills the 17x 9.5 fit 285's or 295's . I am thinking of doing 315's in the rear but what parts + labor will i have to do for sure ??

i got my 315s on with no mods at all. and im lowered 1'' in the front on my 275s! noooo rubbing all stock!

Sounds good im sure it looks mean. On a 17 x 9.5 wheel without pushing it whats the (safest) largest tire 285 or 295 ??

Im wondering what you guys think about 4 oem zo6's wheels from a local guy parting out a wrecked vette for 550$ mint minor scratches should i go for it ??? from gm out the door what would they go for new
