OK, now that I feel slightly retarded I'm going to post up how to get the quick-reply box for the next folks that come along looking for one.

click on the 'profile' icon at the top of the page, and then 'Look and Layout Preferences' on the left side of the page. You can add it in there (show, on by default)

What is quick reply, I've haven't seen that before and was just wondering

it's a little box at the bottom of the page that you can type in without having to hit the reply button and wait for another page to load. It's a very simplified text box, not all buttoned out like in the reply area, but it takes a step out of the process

Yes, they are nice, I just added one to my forum. They are very helpfull, especially for post whores like myself.
