set up lt1 engine for 86 camaro

I have a 96 iron head lt1 engine and i would like some ideas on how to get 350 to 400 horsepower on pump gas. I will consider any ideas including supercharger and or stroker kit.

Have Advanced Induction port you a set of heads and design a cam for you. 400 will be the starting point with associated bolt ons and tune.

You won't need a S/C or stroker kit to get you up to 400hp on pump gas, just a nice H/C set up, are you wanting 400 at flywheel or Rear wheels?

400 hp at the flywheel is plenty in this light car.

Dont worry about an LT1 i have one personally and there are alot of flaws in the design

get a 350 have someone put heads/cam/intake

youll have power put gears and a stall and 2,000 2,500 bux later your car will keep up and pass anything on the street

P.S. go with higher than a .480 lift cam or youll kick yourself in the ass later

The LT1 is a fine starting point .. LE or AI ported stock heads and a nice cam will net you 400 with ease .. i think itll do fine in that ol 3rd gen .. id love to see pics when your complete
