Where would I take a drive shaft to be shortened, and how much does it usually cost?

Also, can this be done by the average guy with a hack saw?

Is this because you have decided to go with the dana s60? I know you have to shortened the driveshaft (or replace it with a shorter one) if you wanna run one of those.

I am just curious because I have been pondering on going with that or the 12 bolt myself.:D

Oh yea you can do it with a hack saw!!! as long as you trailer the darn thing everywhere and don't drive it at all!!

I know you were being facetious

I'm betting there is a good shaft guy in Fredricksburg, if not I'm sure there are more than a few very good shaft guys in San Antonio...

back in the 70's when I was stomping around over there, there was a shop out by the old drag strip, we had the one done in our high school project car, 55 2 door 427 muncie straight axle... 6-71 gmc blower and a huge isk cam... days gone by...

Well I know you can cut some off the yoke with a hack saw, but I think 1.65"s is a bit much for off the yoke.
