View Full Version : Will I have a wheel hop issue after I get the new rear?

I will be installing a new rear soon and had a few question on what to expect. First, with the horsepower specs in my sig would slicks be to much tire for the car, or should I stick with drag radials? I plan on bringing the nitrous in slightly after launch to reduce drivetrain shock.
The only rear suspension parts I have are Koni DA shocks, and subframes. I have never launched with a sticky tire, so with mostly stock suspension back there is the car going to hook and go, or wheel hop all over the place?

I see no reason why the rear would hop .. your still on factory springs right they should be nice n squishy for a nice launch

Yeah, although I never figured out how to adjust the koni shocks from the top, it stripped my little cap when I tried to turn it...it simply will not turn that little peg.

Hmm id think about that warranty card they give away with every shock something about mfgr's defect

what rear? When I put my 9" in I had to get some LCA relo brackets because of the larger axle tubes throwing my LCA geometry off.
And slicks are never too much if you've got a drivetrain that can handle it

Dana S60, it should work with stock LCA setup.

Wheelhop is an issue of incorrect geometry anyhow.
