PCM4LESS is going to do my tune next spring when I get my LT's, but I don't really have anything to say as far as one vs. the other, but i've heard pcm4less has been doing it alot longer.

I don't think you could go wrong with either. Obviously MadZ28 is a touch cheaper.

i agree with chris. the variations from car to car make one work better and vice versa. both in my opinion are very knowledgable and reliable.

OK, I must ask: Cost/benefit I understand, and have also heard horror stories about mailorder tunes. Wouldn't it be better to get a wide-band tune, then dyno-tune for (details).

You cannot alter the pre-programmed mailorder tunes if you perform other mods, can you?

Just curious as to why people elect to go that method, as opposed to a true "hands on" tuning. BTW, this is a serious question, for my own benefit.

Thanks and I know it is kinda off topic.

Ok for starter's its usually the other way around get a mail order to get it moving then take it to a Tuner for hands on Tweaking .. BUT Some of us dont have the benifit of Hands on Tuners in our area .. Memphis for 1 .. Plenty of guys tuning every other engine but when ya take an LT1 they look at you like you have a Yugo Turbo Diesel running on Vegetable oil .

I used PCMforless on my build up and i'm very pleased with it. He's a top notch guy. Answered all my questions and was very stright forward and even offered suggestions on how to make my car run better. I highly recommend PCMforless. Also if you do some more mods to your car it's only fifty bucks for a tune afterwards.

I tune my own.

But I would think that either of those 2 could give you a decent baseline tune.

Where's Grim's Poll??
