Like the title says, looking for something a little on the cheaper side as i'm a college student. I'm confused as to all of the different materials that pads are made out of. I just want something that will grip a little bit better than the durastops and maybe dust a little less, however dust doesn't bother me too much. WHat are you guys running and what do you recommend?

First off, what year is your Camaro? The prices are different for 93-97 and 98 -2002's. Go to http://www.tirerack.com/brakes/results.jsp?autoMake=Chevrolet&autoModel=Camaro+SS&autoYear=2001&autoModClar= for 98+ and http://www.tirerack.com/brakes/results.jsp?autoMake=Chevrolet&autoModel=Camaro+Z28&autoYear=1997&autoModClar= for 92-97's.

Stock pads are semi-metallic.

Get some ceramic/carbon pads. They will stop better and dust much less.

Hawk HPS here purchased from one of our sponsors:
Custom SSI, and also several use the WS6 store, but depends on how much you are willing to spend.
The OEM durastops will work just fine IMO, or at least did for my LS1 Firehawk!

I am using Dura Stop Ceramic pads on my C5 brake upgrade and I think they are great. They stop right now and are extremely quiet and don't dust.
