well i went to the track yesterday with my 95 and i am thoroughly pissed off. i ran a 15.3 @91. i was hoping to be in the 14's but i think my .823 reaction time had a lot to do with it. thought i would let you guys know because i will be doing some serious mods soon.

Reaction time does not affect your ET. Reaction time is the time from when the light turns green until you break the starting beam. Once you break that beam, RT stops and ET starts.

Is your car stock? I assume your 60' time was about a 2.4?

the car has a k&n intake and some flowmasters. the 60' was 2.2

yes it is a v8 and yes i did spin terribly off of the line. they wet down the entire area before the starting line instead of leaving half dry. i was thoroughly pissed off.

ha, my 200 lbs more porky caddy ran a 14.9 with summit turbo mufflers (2.5" catback), a pvc intake, and new valve springs. with a 2.2, you should have been in the 14's. If you have any tire spin, you will run pretty bad.(lucky, i was in control of my spining) On my 3 runs with tire spin, I went 15.1, 15.15, and 15.2. Most of my runs(about 9) I went 15.0x, over and over. my best run was when i followed a dragster and went full pedal on launch, got my 14.9, and best 60'. The rest of the runs I Knew they wouldn't full hook(235/75/15), and went 1/2 pedal on launch, then full right before the 60'. On my 15.1, 15.15 and 15.2 runs It was spinning off the line, once from not having my airlifts adjusted right(no posi), once from kitty litter(spill) and once from water on the tires.

On every run I went 91.8x MPH, even on my 15.2 run. your 60' look better than most of mine, my best was a 2.25, on my 14.9 run. most were 2.32 ish, with my worst at 2.45 on my 15.2 run. The water hurt me the most, the kitty litter spun then went, and the mis matched air lift PSI caused the drivers tire to spin out of the hole, but the water was the killer, I was almost getting squirly from it.

Hope you can get back and have a better prep. :)

What it looks like is your spining past the 60' mark, something I didn't do much of. I bet if you had great track prep like I had, you could pull some 14.8's at 92.

what was the temp and elavation you ran at?

MY 95 IMPALA RAN 15.3 AT 86 MPH EVEN THO MINES A 383 CUZ I HAVENT TUNED THE COMPUTER FOR THE NEW BOTTOM END CAM AND INJECTORS AND I AM GOING TO INTALL A TH 400 IN IT WITH A TRANS BRAKE AND I RECENTLY INSTALLED 150 SHOT OF NOS SO NEXT TIME I GO TO THE 1/4 I HOPE SEE SOME REAL IMPROVEMENT

my 95 went 15.1 and 15.0 like out of 3 runs all with a 2.2 60 and at 91. stock with an extra spare tire in the trunk.

i went back to the track last week with nothing more done to my car that last season and went 14.7. this week i got my pcm tuned so im hoping for 14.4s and i see 3.73's in my future

i got my pcm tuned and my bottle filled so next time i go hopefully if my tranny dont take a dump ill be in the 12's

i didnt my pops told the guy to make it like that but when it gets older ima lower it to about 7.5 and o ring the heads and block to put like 30 psi hopefully

ok i dont have friends with imports and that movie is faker than pam andersons tits and i already talked with my engine builder he told me next time i bring it in hes gonna do those mods and since i got my motor rebuilt 700 miles ago i aint gonna do anything to that engine till like 7 or 8k more miles
