Hello,
My problem is that my 89 gta 350 will only start with starting fluid. When started with fluid it will idle but it wont rev over 2k even with pedle to the floor. I am getting spark to all plugs and power to injectors. Fuel pressure is also good. When i try to start it it just cranks doesnt hit a lick but fires with starting fluid. I have tried everything tps, iac, ignition module, plugs, wires, coil and cant get it to do anything. I NEED HELP

Are you checking the fuel pressure while it is cranking/running? What are you getting?
Are you using a noid light on the injectors, or just checking for power with a multimeter?

Ok, Car finally starts on its own and idles fine. The problem now is it will not rev. I can hold it to the floor and it just goes to about 1500 rpm and sputters. Could it be the the tps? I have checked it and looks like it works fine but i dont know how they act when they go bad.

You need to put a multimeter on the TPS and be sure as the throttle is open that voltage increases smoothly. It should read about .5v closed too if I remember right, and go up to 5v WOT.

When checked the volts go up and down smooth. Is this the only way to check it? Does this mean the tps is good and not the problem?

For giggles... unplug the MAF and see what happens. I'd also verify the TPS and get the ignition module tested. What was the state of tune of the car before the problems started?

unplug maf and car dies sometimes. You can start the car with maf unpluged. Either way still no change. Car ran good before problems. Just installed heads, cam, and intake and now this problem. Btw car does start and rev like it should maybe once a day. lol But only maybe once a day every other time i have this problem??????? help lol

Double check everything that you installed because you missed something. If it ran good before you did the upgrades, you messed up somewhere.
Check for vacuum leaks, any vacuum hoses not hooked up, and bolts not tightened.

I'd test those MAF relays and datalog the thing. How are your grounds? Have you spec'd timing on it yet? Any codes thrown? How's the f/p when it is running? Have you tried pinching the return line? I'd also double check the TPS voltage and the IAC function. This seems to be one of those things where you have to start at the beginning and take little steps to verify everything.

Where are the maf relays and how do i test them? Grounds are good, have been triple checked. Not throwing any codes. F/p is at 40 running, and doesnt change anything higher or lower. Tps and Iac are working properly. I am very very frustrated and have no money left to have a shop look at it. So if anyone can think of anything please help me

Maf relays are on the driver's side firewall in the corner right behind the brake booster. The first one is the maf burnoff, second is maf power and third is fuel pump relay. I may have the 1st and 2nd confused though. Look in the manual to find out which one is which.
Try swapping the relays between the 2 maf relays and see if there is any change. The coolant fan relays are the same type/style relays and you can swap those to check also. There is one on the passenger side fender near the charcoal canister and I think another at the corner of the radiator/passenger side at the front. It will be an oval-looking relay. The fuel pump relay is rectangular for reference.
Only use GM relays. The autozone and advance ones may or may not work. I have a couple that are hit and miss.
Swap the coolant fan relay to the maf relays and see if that cures your problem. The car shouldn't start with the maf sensor disconnected, mine doesn't.

Have you checked the fuses? You said it only starts with starting fluid?
How about if you hold the throttle wide open then crank it, will it start then?
