Factory Amplified?

Ok, I know absolutely zilch about stereo stuff. I jut want to buy a stereo that will hook up to my IPOD. So I went to best buy to look at them. Reasonable prices, not a big deal. Now, cost for install: they told me it would be 60 dollars total unless my car was factory amplified, if it was then it would be 180. Of course, I have no idea if it is or not and they said to find out they have to start taking stuff out which will cost me money. So, is my 95 TA with the factory delco stereo factory amplified?

I think the rear two speakers have an amp...but this all tied into my alpine headunit fine.

I am not much help pre-2000 f-bodies, but he can probably answer your question, so not certain if there exists a peripheral device that will support your OEM HU.
