How long should the PCM be unplugged before the computer needs to relearn the engine .. my engine when first installed had quite a few exhaust leaks tricking the engine into thinking it was running lean .. now that all my exhaust leaks are fixed it runs 8:1 fuel ratio !! damn your eyes burn sitting in the car while at idle .. not to mention it really kills the engine now - I plan on getting Comp Cams here in memphis to reprogram tommorow IF they can get it in

Should only take about 10 to 15 seconds. It's just clearing out the BLM's and INT's for a OBD I or the STFT LTFT for an OBD II.
Running that rich I don't think the PCM can adjust itself that much. Mine is running around 11.5 A/F ratio @ WOT with my new exhaust. Not sure what its at when not @ WOT. BTW when in WOT the PCM is not in learning mode.

1st how are you determining its running @ 8:1
2nd how are you running 8:1? is this at idle? are you running like 48lb injectors or something with no tuning?

well 8:1 is a educated guess being as i clean my new stainless tips let the car idle and a timed 5 minutes later i can pull atleast 1/16 th of an inch of fuel off the tip and at wide open a/f mix is controlled by the mass air flow sensor which was replaced not 6 months ago

Sounds more like an uneducated guess. :twak:
