Love and Hate

Just trying to get some activity in this section. What do you guys love and hate about your 4th gens.

Personally, I LOVE the looks of the cars, the performance, and the value and the overall car.

I HATE the hump in the passenger footwell, the weak rear ends, and the general redneck association.

I like the power, just limitless if you ask me and so much for the LS right out of the box. I don't care that much for the looks of the car, I did like the looks of the 80's Camaro and Firebird.

To me redneck = 3rd gen.

I love almost everything about it. The looks, the drive, the feel.....

I also hate the weak ass rear ends. I find it stupid that GM puts a stronger rear in an S10 than in my car.

I pretty much agree with all those items.

Also hate:

Sqeaky/rattly 93-96 center consoles (I upgraded to a 97+ m6 console :D )
Ultra long overhangs vs. relatively small wheel base. 1/2 my car sits outside the axle centerlines.

I love:

The simplicity of the rear end setup. IRS would be great but whoo boy you don't want to know what those cost to fix if you snap something.
I like that the 4th gen has so much in common with the 3rd gen.

Oh yeah the gigantic, rattling, malfunctioning head rests on the Trans Am leather seats 93-97 suck too....

LoL... I think the styling on the 4th TAs is great, but its really setoff w/ the WS6 hood. The Camaro's are really simple IMO, but they just have a sporty feel to them.

Yes for most 3rd gen = redneck... and I hate its that way, but for a lot of the crowd of people not associated w/ the hobby... all camaros/trans ams are that way

I haven't had problems yet, but I know alot of people who have replaced window motors.

LOL...couldn't agree more. A neighbor kid and I (he was like 16-17) and I were talking one day and got onto Grand Nationals.

He said "yeah those are sweet but are they as fast as a GT?" I just shook my head in shame before telling him the holy hell that a Turbo Buick would unleash on a stock Mustang GT....

Wll as far as camaor si love the 93-97 look more than 98-02 but i like me both. I love how you mod the **** out of it and its worth more then what you paid. I love the engines.

GN's are the only cars I won't race. Those Turbo Buick's scare me.
