from a freind who had them on a grand marquis. But he said he took them off the marquis because they were rubbing because they were rims made for a chevy. The tire size is 265/35/22, will these rims fit my car without any rub or scrub because i do not want a lift kit??

I do not know the width of the rim and tires but i all he keeps telling me is they are rims made for a chevy.

I understand most people dont like rims this big but i really dont wanna argue about that can u just help me with this question please thankyou

The fitment has more to do with the bolt pattern of the lugs. As to whether you'll need to lift the car, I just don't know.

I do know that the stock wheel/tire combo is only about 26 inches in diameter, so the 22's only give you enough room for a 2 inch tall sidewall if you want the stock overall fit.

BTW, what kind of car are you putting them on? That might be good to know.

I doubt they'll fit stock.

Also, the bolt pattern will be wrong. He's got a Mercury which is a Ford product IIRC...

Try this: http://www.rims-n-tires.com/rt_specs.jsp;jsessionid=CF71A9147A4D08FBDE0DA9666C 6FE081?pageTitle=Wheel-Tire%20size%20comparer&showRim1=1&showTire1=1&sw1=215&ar1=75&bd1=15&rd1=15&rw1=7.5&et1=20&showRim2=1&showTire2=1&sw2=265&ar2=35&bd2=22&rd2=22&rw2=9.5&et2=15&text1=&text2=

Stock is on the left, new wheels/tires are on the right.

Just need to find the offset of the new wheels to know everything for sure

Got some springs in it to get it up a little bit higher too?

simply will not fit .. 22's on a box chevy require suspension lift not to mention a hole in your head do you have any idea how much treads cost in 22 inch rubber ?

You would need to find a 245/35/22 for a 100% fit. I have seen many Caprices with 22" wheels and all I can say is they look like wagon wheels on a car. The word rediculous comes to mind. They will also handle terribly and increase your turning radius alot.

^ 22's on box chevy.
Never take anyone's word on weather their wheels will fit. Measure or test fit yourself.

The above car had to be lifted. He used twist in spacers up front (unrecommended) and airshocks in the rear.
