Well, I just got my adj. LCA's in the mail the other day and I have to say I wasn't surprised one bit by the quality. UMI makes one hellova product and it's nice to be able to expect that. They were a cinch to mount up and moved my new 28" MTDR's into the center of my wheel wells so I didn't have to cut anything. I would advise using their double-adjustables for anything bigger than a 28" tire though as I was at the end of the adjustment on mine. Which leads me to my next suspension component, my UMI LCA relocation brackets.
After my 9" install, I noticed that my LCA's were parallel with the ground. That's no good for drag racing as they're not doing anything to hold the rear to the ground. I noticed the same thing on my shop-twin car too, so I know it wasn't just a funky component from the rear housing manufacturer. Got some LCA relocation brackets in the mail from UMI that are very strong and from what my welder says, easy to install haha. Right now I'm running them on the middle hole since my car's not lowered and I don't want to bind my suspension travel with too much LCA angle. I might try the lower hole after I move closer to a track and become able to do some accurate back-to-back testing, but this is good for now.
Along with those relocation brackets I also got some 3-point subframe connectors (since I have a chassis-mount torque arm). All were VERY high quality! My car feels nice and stiff on launches and doesn't twist all crazy like it used to. The only body roll I'm getting is from not having a drag-bar, and that can be seen in the rear suspension itself, it's not a body-twisting event like it used to be, hahaha
I hate to sound like I'm getting paid for posting all this (though if UMI wants to send me any free merchandise I'd be glad to bolt it up, hahaha), but I wanted to show my appreciation for a high-quality product and other than mailing to the wrong address (inside joke between me and them since my mailing instructions are always so convoluted, haha) a very good company to work with!
