Anyone know a good write up on replacing a 94 4l60e. I am going to be replacing mine in the next few weeks, never done one on a Z. Any tips, tricks and some general info and tool list would help alot. Thanks in advance.

here's when i did it in my LS1. same basic idea. the trans lines are screwed in. and you won't have the two bolts to the oil pan through the bellhousing. and you'll have a converter cover instead of a a full bellhousing. it'll make it easier to access the converter bolts.

Here I will give you the Chilton's version.
Disconnect battery
Remove transmission
Installation is reverse of removal.

I will say that you might need a good crowbar or something that can bend the metal of the tunnel. The 2nd bolt from the bottom on the driver's side on the bellhousing is a pain in the azz. If you can get a crowbar in there to bend the tunnel enough, you should be able to get to it with a socket and u-joint.
If not, then a wregular wrench will work, you just have to twist it a little at a time.
Putting the tranny on a tranny jack, removing the crossmember and lowering it will help to get the rest of the bolts.
Get yourself some long extensions too.

In some cases, you might have to drop your y-pipe to get the tranny out.
