LS1LT1.com is now hosted on a Virtual Private Server I am renting from Rackforce.com. We had outgrown the shared hosting plan we were previously on, and the new VPS will allow us to continue the strong growth we saw in the first year online. The VPS is quite a bit more expensive, but long term this is the best move for LS1LT1.com.
Our server runs a 2.8Ghz Intel Xeon processor and 256mb of gauranteed memory.
Thanks to all the members and sponsors for helping us break our old hosting account, LOL.
RackForce is one of North America's fastest growing privately held Hosting Service Providers (HSP). RackForce provides wholesale server rentals to e-businesses, application providers and hosting resellers. Unlike many so called competitors, RackForce operates its own fully equipped state-of-the-art data centers and servers.
The first of RackForce's data centers was built in the heart of Canada's "Silicon Vineyard" technology center and opened for business in late 2001 and the second data center went online in early 2003. RackForce's third data center went live in late 2005 and data centers four and five currently in the planning stages.
Rackforce has pioneered and brought to market many innovative hosting solutions and technologies including:
Dynamic Dedicated Servers (DDS) - RackForce's proprietary DDS servers took VPS to a new level through their scalability model - the ability to seamlessly migrate from entry level to a dual Xeon fully dedicated servers with virtually no downtime and zero cost.
Unmetered Bandwidth – manage your costs through the predictability of a fixed monthly charge for bandwidth consumption.
Instant Activation – means you can get started right away! RackForce owns and operates multiple state-of-the-art data centers on the West-Coast of Canada. This strategic western North-American location gives RackForce customers the advantages of:
Dual grid hydro electric power – Two power sources means no risk of grid failures or massive power outages as seen in California and on the east coast of Canada and US.
Multiple gigabit backbone connections – Redundant carriers and ultrafast routing
Very low earthquake risk – Extremely low risk of catastrophic loss of operations.
