This project consisted of transforming this 1994 Trans Am daily driver into a winner at the strip. It came to us with 27,000 original miles, a Powerdyne supercharger, and a blown engine. We built a fully forged 355ci engine to accomidate the 20# of boost, from the new Vortech supercharger the customer would like to run. The short block consisted of a Callies Dragonslayer crankshaft, Compstar connecting rods, and Diamond Pistons. We finished it off with a freshly painted LT1 mainfold, ATI damper and CSI electric water pump. AWe are very happy with the outcome, and are anxious to dyno it.

Well we finally dynoed the project, and at only 10psi it made 520/466. It was still making power 6400RPM and up, but started to run out of fuel because of only a single Walbro 255lph pump. We are very happy with those numbers, especially since the heads are unported LT1 castings.Plans are to install a dual intank fuel pump set up, the smaller pulley and re-dyno. Hoping to be somewhere around 16-18 psi, when were are all finished.

I really like the Compstar line of products. They are, in my opinion, nicer then Eagle and are relatively close in price.

Good to hear... I thought they sounded pretty good but I wasn't too sure since I haven't had any direct experience with them. I love good advice from a quality shop
