swap from lt1 273 to ls1 342 help

Hi i have a 1995 ta with an a4 i want to put the gears from a ls1 m6 into my car. The ls1 rear end was free and i would like to not spend any money at all doing this. The rear end from the ls1 has a bad pinion seal i just would like to get some feed back if this is possible. Thanks alot

Its very possible, but you will need all the LS1 rear brake stuff as its different.

what i wanted to know is if i could take the gears out of the ls1 and put them in mine sorry for not being clear thanks for the help.

If you had 2.73's in the last rearend, you cant just swap gears since youre old carrier is a 2-series, and the 3.42's are 3-series. You'll need to swap the carrier too. Actually makes it easier, since you dont have to remove the ring.
