hey all..

i wanna ask about these LT1 Edit Files... on a stock car are they usefull, i see some files that say they enhance shift firmness and let the fans start early.. i can use such a thing cause my car is stock.. most probably i'll do a CAI and a catback and i'll be satisfied (who knows, hehe). so my question:

-are these library files usefull?
-whats the method of downloading them to the car (i know through alaptop and a cable but what software)?
-how can i make a backup of the existing stock file i have on my PCM?
-can wrong selection make a PERMENANT DAMAGE,,, and i mean PERMANANT?

thanks alot

You need a software application such as LT1 edit or Tunercat

You can backup your existing file (a recommended thing to do).

Modifications are useful, if they fit your needs.

You can damage your engine with the wrong selections (mostly confined to fuel and spark timing management and some other things).
