Got the car fired yesterday and went to the track today. The engine runs pretty good but is a complete dog off the line. Its really sputtering off the line so there is definately a few tenths in the 60' alone. It seems rich on the pump shot but it is set up pretty conservatively. Here are my timeslips. I tried several different launch techniques but it just didn't run clean on any of them.

60'........ET........MPH
1.89.....12.24....113.66
1.86.....12.22....112.92
1.91.....12.29....113.06
1.83.....12.23....112.42
1.92.....12.29....113.14
1.97.....12.39....112.72
1.92.....12.28....113.61

I am going back out tomorrow morning.:)

Here are Sunday's results:

Here are today's results:

60'.........ET..........MPH

1.89.......12.24.....113.65
1.85.......12.15.....113.20
1.81.......12.11.....113.41
1.87.......12.28.....112.23
---switched to 28*11.5 ET Streets for the last two runs--
1.90.......12.32.....112.14
1.99.......12.40.....112.19

I got a perfect light on the third and final test run. http://www.thefbody.com/forum/images/smiles/cool.gif On the next run (elimination round 1), I cut a -.007 and was out of the running.

The bigger tires didn't really help at all on the lunch. They actually slowed the car down. I changed the squirters on the carb and it runs a little cleaner but I am still dissapointed with the 60's.

Taller tires will do that. You just effectively numerically lowered your gear ratio.
Nice runs though, it looks like the car is fairly consistant.
