because if i spend a $1000 i get a 100 more hp at the push of a button and i don't want to start pulling parts off tell i blow her up. if you can tell me another way to get a 100 more hp for less i am all ears.

A great option for an Lt1 is a simple single fogger wet kit. You can't go wrong. If you want bare-bones, just get the base kit, but you will need a blow-down tube and adapter, to be IHRA / NHRA legal. Also its a good safety feature anyway for TA's since the bottle gets mounted in the passenger compartment.
PM me, and I'll put a price together for you.
Thanks,
Vinny

Actually, I was referring to the NOS brand. I would also look at NX they seem to have better nozzles and spray to all cylinders more evenly.

I would also say you should do some intake an exhaust mods, nitrous really likes exhaust. Also, a thousand dollars is a pretty high end system, you can put one together for a lot less. All you really need is the bottle, lines, solenoids, jets, and nozzles. After that it's the safety equipment like the window switch, retard box, and something to cut the nitrous if the fuel fails. A bottle heater is nice, but I think that can wait if you aren't going to be doing pass after pass on the bottle.

I like to mount my bottle where the spare tire goes, keeps it out of sight in case I get pulled over, and takes out a little weight, I just make sure and take around a can of fix a flat along ahah.

It sounds like you may be new to the nitrous world, I would so some research on what all you need, and what you should do to give your motor a better shot at taking it.

Lastly, about your friend. If he really does have a 400hp Talon..then a 100 shot prob won't cut it, that will put you in the 320srwhp range, and you weigh a lot more than a Talon.

i'am sorry to write a confusing post i will try not to any more.
i meant nitrous not nos the group i hang with and myself have always just say nos for short.
you are right i am new to nitrous.
my friends eagle is and awd and it weigh about 3300 his car runs 285 to 290 depending on temperture and he has 100 shot to add to that and a 100 shot add more then a 100 shot because it cooling the turbo so it close to 400 hp.
i had a nx mainline kit its around $400 and i fried the fuel solenoids first time out and bye bye shelby daytona lol that is why i have a t/a now and a good deal.
i have been in the 4cylinder turbo world for about two years and new to v8s so thanks for everyone's patience
so now i want a good kit no more bottem line.
i don't care about the brand but i do want a kit that can grow.

Hello Johnwrench and welcome to this place! I'm pretty new here too.

Consider taking 860performance up on getting a workup for what you need/want. My first experience with Vinny was better than good. I just wish that I had gotten a better understanding about the kits before I jumped in and bought what I did off of ebay. Even though I didn't get my kit from 860perf I still got some free tech help from them. If it sounds like I'm advertising for them it's only because I've had a good experience.

BTW, good luck trying to drub that Talon. They're incredible cars with unbelievable traction as I'm sure you already know. I'm thinking you're going to need 500 hp and a 12 bolt to get close but keep us posted.
