got kicked out of the party i planned on sleeping at last night, so i was kinda drunk, coming home some assholes coming at me in the middle of the road, last minute i swerve to get out of the way, the front end of my car PLOWS. hit a curb really hard, blow my right rear, pull a hunk off of my front tire, badly bent front rim. even if i was sober it still probably woulda happened. changed the flat, made my way home pissed as all hell. look at the car this morning my front tire is sitting back in the wheel well a bit too far. somethings bent. now i need 2 new rims and tires and whatever is wrong with the front suspension. and to top it off i woke up fully clothed with my cell phone jabbing me in the stomach. im so pissed. anyone got 2 Z28 wheels with tires?

most likely, the lower control arm is bent, same thing was wrong when i hit the curb in my old Grand Am,

took the front wheel off today to look at the damage, looks like the lower control arm is pushed back into the car somehow, however its mounted, the mount looks like it may be screwed, or the arm where it is mounted. i wasnt able to crawl under the car because it is REDICULOUSLY hot out today and my jack only goes up so high. is the bracket or the mount (whatever it is) something easy to fix? do you think it would give way before the control arm? i dont remember enough about the accident to remember how the wheel was facing when i hit the curb. did realize why i was on that road tho: was going to sleep in my car in a parking lot cuz i was too drunk on that road...hit the curb before i could get there. how much woudl a new control arm run me? and how bout the bracket? thanks.

You're driving drunk, and it's some ass holes fault...Why don't you call a cab next time moron.
(somewhat bitter toward drunk drivers ever since one decided to plow into the car my dad was in paralizing him.)

it was my fault because i was drunk, i overcorrected when i turned and hit the curb. if i would have been allowed to leave my car at her house i would have called a cab. i was planning on sleeping in my car in a parking lot close by but the accident happened before i got there.

so does anyone know how much replacing the rear control arm mount would be? is there welding involved? can it be bent back? any input would be appreciated i only have a couple more weeks before i have to make the 500 mile trip back to school.

best bet would be to take it to a shop and know exactly what you need rather than playing the guessing game

brought the car to my friends dealership where we were able to put it on the lift. looks like the back bolt that holds hte lower control arm on moved. nothing seems bent, so we loosened hte bolt and pushed hte LCA back forward but since the wheel was off we didnt get it perfect. seems like i just need an alignment. i am damn lucky. next time if someone kicks me out of a party when im drunk and i drove there im goign to play dead in the front yard until they finally let me sleep inside.
