I have a spare LT-1 in my garage, that I plan on building up,when I get the money,I plan on using either an eagle forged rotating assembly,3.875stroke,6.00"H-beam connecting rods, and JE SRP pistons, the heads are gonna be AI ported trickflows,an AI race ported intake,AS&M monoblade throttle body, and kooks LT headers and a STS turbo kit, does anyone know what kinda horsepower it will make, also I am not sure,on the compression, what type of pistons to use or how much boost I will run, right now I am exploring my options, just need an estimate

Hi lt1firem6...
Sorry, I don't have any horsepower numbers for your turbo LT-1, but I'm anxious to hear what you do with the engine. I am also in the Daytona area (Port Orange)...just joined here, looking for answers, also.
Can I ask: who are you going to have do your engine work? I've used Express Engines in Deland, and they are good. In years past, I always used Gator Machine, but Hal retired, and the new owners drove the business under in short order.
Your engine project sounds sweet! I'll be anxiously watching to see how it comes out...

not sure on the sts turbo kits. but my boss owns a 96 lt1 t/a 6speed. he built a forger 388, custom turbo cam and did some serious work to the heads. he has a single turbo on there kit, he fabed up with an air to ait intercooler and some meth/h2o. car went 9.70 driven 30 sum miles to the track, on drag radials and 93 pump gas, full street interior and with 3 10" subs in the back. and drove it home.. with the a/c on
car with the proper drive train is probly capable of goin a second faster, if nothing broke and it hooked.

I would expect the STS to see similar results if not better. The STS kits work very well with most applications.

STS is average at best. My buddys 383 turbo car made like 780 rear wheel (auto) and ran a 9.7 @ 142 mph on the shakedown runs!
