well i need a new pinion bearing. i can take the driveshaft and move it up and down about 1/4" from center, so i know its ****ed.

so i have to take the rear end off and rebuild it to do the bearing as ive heard. im thinking on getting 4.10's while im going through all that work to tear down the gear carrier and shit.

im also gonna replace the shocks and fuel pump while i got the rear end out.

anyone have any input if theyve done this before or any insight on what else im gonna have to do?

thanks

Its actually not as hard as it seems. You'll need a good dial indicator to measure backlash, etc.

the only thing that makes it hard is im gonna be doing all this at my house, and i have no impact gun to take down the rear end from the car. :dontknow:

Don't worry about it too much. It happens to a lot of people. Just get a buddy that you trust to help you out and use a good sized torque wrench and you'll be good.
