I am doing a t56 swap and was wondering will the a4 crossmember work, or what needs to be done.

In what kind of car?
More than likely, you will need the crossmember for the T56. The A4 one will not work.

Yeah if this is an F-Body then you have to have the M6 specific crossmember.
