what would i need

i was thinking of building my car with a power adder. i will be buying cam, headers, ported intake manifold, and new heads. i can get a t-72 garret turbo for about $200, and i can also get straight stainless steel cheap. intercooler will be easy to come by, what else would i need? mabey forged pistons?

if you want to put some big time boost to it id pull the block, put in all forged internals, splayed 4 bolt mains, then run the boost

what if i am looking for mild boost, i just want the sound and power, but still streetable power

id at least go with forged pistons and prolly forged rods too, if you wanna run boost even mild its just smarter to run forged

Stock LT1 internals don't like more than about 4psi of boost for long. Forged pistons are the bare minimum, and forged everything is recommended for longevity.

I don't know, you'd have to shop around. Probably $300 for rods and $500 for pistons.
